TPO (Thermoplastic Polyolefin) roofing is a popular single-ply roofing membrane primarily used in commercial buildings due to its durability, energy efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. It’s a heat-reflective, white membrane designed for flat or low-sloped roofs. TPO roofs can be installed using various methods, including mechanical attachment, full adhesion, or ballasting.
Shingle roofing is a roof covering made up of individual, overlapping pieces called shingles. These shingles, typically flat and rectangular, are installed in courses, overlapping each other to create a waterproof barrier. They are a common and versatile roofing material, available in various materials like asphalt, wood, slate, and metal.
What are the advantages of metal roofing? Metal roofing is made from a variety of materials, including steel, aluminum, copper, zinc and terne (a zinc-tin alloy). It is known for its strength, energy efficiency and ability to withstand even the most severe of weather conditions. Metal Roofing: Metal roofing comes in many different styles, standard seam and corrugated as well as metal shingles which offer an extremely eye-pleasing appearance. Types of Metal Roofing: Metal roofing comes in many styles, each design features a unique look and structure, and every metal roofing type has its pros and cons.
EPDM roofing is a synthetic rubber type and is a roofing membrane. It is a common option for low-slope or flat roofs on residential and commercial buildings. They have an excellent reputation for durability and resistance to weathering and will typically last around 20-30 years.
Slate roof coverings are roofing systems made from slabs of slate stone. Slate is a metamorphic rock with a natural look which is extremely low maintenance, durable and remains unaffected by the effect of weather and fire. Slate Slate is a high cost material but known for its extremely long life span and beautiful unique appearance, making it one of the premium roofing choices.
PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) An acronym for a thermoplastic polymer; it is a single-ply roofing membrane consisting of a pliable plastic. It is also resistant to chemicals, fire and punctures, making it a common material for commercial buildings, particularly those in more extreme environments. PVC membranes are highly reflective, which provides increased energy efficiency by reflecting sunlight to reduce heat gain.
A green roof or living roof is a roof of a building that is partially or completely covered with vegetation and a growing medium, planted over a waterproofing membrane. The green living roof includes green plants, layers of soil and waterproof membrane, to have good water withstanding feature on the roof top.
A standing seam metal roof is a type of roofing system characterized by vertical metal panels that are joined together by raised, interlocking seams. These seams run vertically from the eave to the ridge of the roof. The “standing” nature of the seam refers to the vertical projection of the interlocking edges above the flat area of the panel. This design creates a watertight and aesthetically pleasing roof surface.
Roof paver systems provide a functional and elegant means of transforming roof spaces into usable outdoor and socialising areas by creating roof terraces, walkways, balconies and rooftop gardens. These systems often consist of setting pavers, sitting on the top of pedestals, or grid system raised off the roof deck, allowing sufficient space for water drainage and without obstructing access.
Gutters, downspouts, and conductor or leader boxes are vital parts of a roofing system that is engineered to control rainwater runoff. The water falls on the roof is attracted to the gutters and flows into the downspouts and is diverted away from the building’s foundation.
These are just a few examples of the types of roofing types commonly used in construction. Each has its own advantages, so it’s important to consider factors such as climate, architectural style, maintenance requirements, and budget when choosing the right roof for a specific project.

They are known for their longevity, minimal maintenance and resistance to fire, wind and hail
